These trampolines are not what you find in backyards, their interconnected with different sizes, shapes and angles, all with full safety padding. To be jumping on the trampolines, it is required to buy the Kloud9ine socks which are a small fee of $2.50. The costs are well worth it as Kloud9ine is so much fun. It’s not just jumping, their are multiple activities from attempting to get up the wall, playing dodge ball or kageball. Toowoomba’s Kloud9ine is a bouncy twist on everyone’s favourite games.
The First Coat Toowoomba is based on the First Coat international Art Festival, which has been an annual event in Toowoomba for four years. First coat is where locals passionate about art show their talent off to the city, painting a mural down a street wall. The city’s wall are covered in colourful artwork, made to brighten CBD. However, the festival has ended in Toowoomba but the artwork is their for picture perfect locations.

The Beastman painting above was created by an artist from Sydney call Bradley Eastman. He says the painting was influenced by the biodiversity, symbolism and design aesthetics behind natures repetitive geometric growth patterns calling it ‘Coerce’. This First coat mural is relatively new to Toowoomba as it was painted in 2017.
This painting is located in the centre of the CBD and easily seen when you drive past.

Want something to do but the weather is too hot? Milne Bay is the place to be. Call some friends and visit Milne bay aquatic centre, with entry only $6. Milne bay is the go to place to cool off in the Summer, providing multiple options which include gym access, outdoor and indoor pools and the water slide which is open Monday through to Sunday. Just located on the corner of Herries and Victoria Streets Toowoomba.

Need something exciting and adventurous, call some friends that own a boat and head out to Somerset dam. Somerset Dam is worth the trip, so call your friends and hook up a date with free entry making Somerset dam 10 times funner. The dam is clean and safe, so bring your togs and a whole bunch of laughter. As there is no place as special as Toowoomba’s Somerset dam, with parks, picnic tables.
I have recently been with my cousins as they have a small boat and tubing rings, the weather was fantastic and the smile could not be wiped off our faces and the laughter from miles and the lasting memories. It’s open Monday Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Thursdays are late night shopping with closure at 9pm, Saturday is 9-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. My favourite shops are Tempt, Ally fashion and Valley girl as the prices are affordable and designs are unique and lovely. The first 3 hours of parking is free, food courts and food store all around the shop so you will never be hungry.

Junk is an Asian Restaurant which is open Monday to Sunday from 11AM – 9PM, with no bookings needed. It’s the perfect place for lunch or dinner, with the amazing street art inside the restaurant and along the side-walk. In all honesty, I have only been to Junk about twice since opening in 2017 and by far my favourite meal on the menu is the pork belly with the Thai salad, I haven’t yet tried the bubble tea but next time I will be getting one.

The bakery is the spot for Brekkie carbs with their savoury and sweet pastries.

The location is never hard to find as the bakery will stand out with the line up out the door on Campbell Street. However, don’t let this stop you getting your pastry fix. If unsure of what to order due to the overwhelming menu, the go to item is the almond and chocolate croissant and the Strawberry cheesecake cruffins . Never stress over what to chose as they are all delicious and The Baker’s Duck will have you coming back for more.

The neverending supply of flavours include salted caramel, pistachio and mango, to keep people intrigued they are constantly changing and adding new flavours each month. As most people know, Toowoomba is renoun for its spectacular parks and gardens, hence named the Toowoomba The Garden City. Queens park is one of the many spectacular parks in Toowoomba, which the carnival of flowers is held at during September each year. Start or end your day with a perfect stroll through the beautiful gardens admiring the colourful flowers. However, this vibrant park offers much more with off-dog leash area, two playgrounds and a botanic garden. It’s a picture-perfect location and a great place to kick the footy around.
Laurel Bank Park
Laurel Bank Park is located on Hill Street, with its spectacular manicured gardens, playgrounds, barbecue and picnic areas. The perfect time to visit is during the annual Carnival Of Flowers in September, as there is plenty of free entertainment with live music from the councils summer tunes programs and lots of fun and photos to be taken. So bring a blanket, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the gardens.
Japanese Gardens
The Japanese Gardens (named “Ju Raku En means enjoying peace and longevity in a public place.”) are situated right beside the Southern Queensland University. If you’re looking to find culture this is it as Toowoomba is famous for their representation of traditional Japanese landscape. This is my favourite garden in Toowoomba, its got a beautiful range of gardens, mini forest and small waterfall. This place makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy-tale with the birds singing. I recommend heading out to the Japanese gardens anytime during the day, lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy some food.
They don’t call it the city of gardens for nothing as there are beautiful gardens all around the Toowoomba CBD to be explored.
When wondering what else Toowoomba has to offer, go for a short road trip to Darling downs Zoo .Call a friend and head down with a fun road trip of 43 minutes, if you don’t have a licence get parents to drive or call a taxi for only $35. On entry, show your student card for a discount, or pay the full entry fee of $35. The zoo holds an unimaginable endless supply of exotic animals, which you might get to feed the Monkeys. To keep your mind curious with the larger being lions,tigers,zebras, giraffe and less scary monkeys, meekats, birds and reptiles of all shapes and sizes. I recommend walking around the entire zoo as it is an easy walk with lovely views of kangaroos and long giraffes. If your game enough you can to get close the lions, feel free to, don’t be afraid as there are fences between you and animals to ensure safety. Encounter with your favourites, depending on you courage you can feed lions for a fee but if that is too intense you can look at the lions.
There is no need to bring lunch as you can buy from the shop a range of meals. Bring a camera and be ready to see the cuteness of the wildlife.

High-fields falls is Toowoomba’s best kept secret, full of action, curiosity and amazement. High-field falls provides endless activities from a wide range of bush walks such as Yellow Robin ,Bower bird and Cuckoo-Dove Walking Circuit just to name a few. The walks cater for all people’s fitness levels, ranging from 5-15 minutes and gorgeous eye-opening views.
The main track is rocky down to a gully and windy down some stairs to the falls. The path spits in two places, one at the top and one further down. The first right takes you to a beautiful view at the top of the falls. The second split takes you closer to the waterfall.
It is recommended wearing suitable walking shoes, clothes, hat, water and a camera as the walking tracks are just to beautiful not to capture. Queen Mary falls

Queen Mary Falls displays the spectacular nature Toowoomba has to offer, that you won’t find in the city. The views of the waterfall are always changing, due to the colourful seasons of the year. The views are perfect for photos and eating your lunch at the picnic tables hearing the gushing water. I did this walk a while ago with some friends and family, ensure you are wearing appropriate shoes, hats and bring water. Enjoy the waterfalls cool mist at the bottom, perfect to cool off on a hot summer’s day. If you would prefer just to be at the lookout, you can watch the water plunge 40 metres over the wall. So enjoy the history this Queen Mary falls has to offer and discover for yourself why it is so popular.
